This is a fascinating long Epidote crystal with two pointed ends. Smaller crystals grow out from the main crystal. It has a shiny metallic look and is well-formed on all sides, allowing a full 360-degree view. The crystal has sharp, clear faces and perfectly pointed ends.

It occurs as replacements of mineral grains that have been altered through metamorphism. It is often discovered in veins that cut granite. It takes place as monoclinic crystals in pegmatites.

It has also been discovered in large form and as monoclinic crystals in marbles and schists that were shaped or altered through contact metamorphism.
